<p>The nonlinear mathematical model of the Break Even Point (BEP) problem is difficult to solve analytically to obtain an exact solution; therefore, numerical methods can serve as an alternative approach to address this issue. Based on this, the present study aims to develop a PHP program for solving the BEP problem and to compare Steffensen’s and Brent’s methods in terms of error and number of iterations. This research used the experimental method, whose implementation procedures include preparation, PHP program development, program testing, program revision, analysis, and conclusion. The PHP-based program developed in this study can serve as an alternative tool for solving BEP problems and is accessible to both practitioners and academics via the following link: https://lpptp.fkip.unram.ac.id/smhs/e1r021001/index.php. In solving the BEP problem, the error of Steffensen’s method was 17,3 x 10<sup>-8</sup>, while the error of Brent’s method was 6,4 x 10<sup>-8</sup>, therefore the error produced by the Brent’s method is smaller than that of the Steffensen’s method because 6,4 x 10<sup>-8 </sup>< 17,3 x 10<sup>-8</sup>. Additionally, the number of iterations required by Steffensen’s method was 109, whereas the number of iterations of Brent’s method was 56, therefore, the number of iterations of Brent’s method is fewer than that of Steffensen’s method because 56 < 109. <p>This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the KOPSINU teaching aid in the Make a Match learning model for improving students' numeracy literacy. The research is based on the low numeracy literacy of Indonesian students, which is caused by less interactive learning methods and minimal use of teaching aids. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design was used. The subjects consisted of 60 seventh-grade students at SMP Islam Sultan Agung 4 Semarang, divided into experimental and control groups. The research instrument was a numeracy literacy test covering aspects of mathematization, symbolization, reasoning, and argumentation. The t-test results showed a significant difference between the two groups, with the experimental group scoring higher on the posttest. These findings indicate that the use of KOPSINU significantly enhances students' numeracy literacy by creating a more interactive, engaging, and motivating learning environment that helps students actively understand mathematical concepts.</p>Siti NurjanahMochamad Abdul Basir

<p>The impact of boycotts against global brands has directly influenced the marketing approaches of fast-food companies such as KFC and McDonald’s. This study aims to identify the most effective marketing strategies that both companies can adopt in response to these challenges. The research utilizes a two-player game theory model with a mixed strategy approach, analyzed through matrix algebra—specifically involving calculations of cofactors, adjoints, and determinants. Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 100 students at the University of Mataram, focusing on four key strategic variables: communication, promotion, innovation, and service. The response matrices were simplified using row and column dominance elimination before further analysis. The results show that KFC’s optimal strategy consists of a combination of 60% innovation and 40% promotion. In contrast, McDonald’s performs best with a balanced strategy, applying 50% promotion and 50% innovation. A game value of –12 indicates that McDonald’s holds a relative advantage in minimizing potential losses during the boycott period. <p>The problem of this study was the low creative thinking ability of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur. This study was conducted to determine the influence of the <em>Realistic Mathematics Education</em> (RME) approach based on miniature house media on students’ mathematical creative thinking skills. The method used in this study was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was 58 students, and the sample, consisting of the same number of students, was determined using purposive sampling. The hypothesis test was conducted using a simple linear regression analysis, which resulted in an F<em><sub>calculated</sub></em> value of 164.361 with n = 29. At a significance level of α = 0.05, the F<sub>table</sub> value was 4.21. Since F<em><sub>calculated </sub></em>> F<sub>table</sub> (164.361 > 4.21), and the significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, it was concluded that there was a significant influence of the RME approach based on miniature house media on the mathematical creative thinking ability of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur.</p>Frenika SupiyatiDeviyanti PangestuJody Setya HermawanFadhilah Khairani

<p>This study aims to identify elementary school students' understanding of mathematical concepts based on Neil D. Fleming's learning style theory (VARK), which consists of four main categories: Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, and Kinesthetic. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this research, with the subjects being sixth-grade students of SDN 14 Cakranegara. The research instruments included learning style questionnaires, mathematical concept comprehension tests, and interviews. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the majority of students had a kinesthetic learning style, indicating a preference for learning through physical activities and hands-on practice. Students with a kinesthetic learning style demonstrated a better understanding of mathematical concepts when learning methods involved physical activities. Additionally, several students exhibited a combination of visual, auditory, and read/write learning styles, reflecting variations in how they understand and apply mathematical concepts. <p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p><em>This study aims to examine the extent to which the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model impacts mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of length units for third-grade students at SDN 2 Bendanpete. The research employs a quantitative experimental method through a Pre-Experimental Design approach, specifically using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data analysis techniques include prerequisite tests through normality testing and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the implementation of the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model. Instrument validation results indicated that 15 items were valid, and reliability testing showed a high reliability score with Cronbach’s α = 0.860. Data analysis through the t-test, resulting in a value of (-19.0), demonstrated a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average posttest score (81.1) considerably higher than the average pretest score (51.4). These findings suggest that the application of the PjBL model effectively enhances student achievement in the topic of length measurement. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor internal yang memengaruhi literasi matematika siswa di Indonesia melalui pendekatan <em>Systematic Literature Review</em> (SLR). Literasi matematika menjadi kompetensi penting dalam menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21, namun berbagai hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa capaian siswa Indonesia dalam literasi matematika masih tergolong rendah, sebagaimana tercermin dalam hasil asesmen nasional dan studi internasional seperti PISA. Dalam kajian ini, peneliti menelaah 20 artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2020 hingga 2025, yang diperoleh melalui pencarian sistematis pada basis data Google Scholar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal yang dominan meliputi motivasi belajar, <em>self-efficacy</em>, minat terhadap matematika, gaya belajar, serta kemampuan metakognitif. Faktor-faktor tersebut berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap pencapaian literasi matematika siswa. <p>This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model, specifically the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) type assisted by Quizizz, on the mathematical literacy skills of 11th-grade students at MAN 1 Mataram in the academic year 2024/2025. This research is a quasi-experimental study using a posttest-only control group design. The population consisted of three 11th-grade science classes with a total of 118 students, and the sample included two classes: XI IPA 1 as the control group, which received direct instruction, and XI IPA 2 as the experimental group, which received the TGT model assisted by Quizizz. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Data were collected through a mathematical literacy skills test administered after the intervention and were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the results, a non-parametric test chi-square test was employed along with the calculation of the effect size. The findings showed a difference in the average scores between the control group (49) and the experimental group (78), indicating the influence of the TGT model assisted by Quizizz on students' mathematical literacy. The effect size value of d = 0.465 falls within the medium category, suggesting a moderate impact. Therefore, the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz contributes positively to enhancing students' mathematical literacy, particularly in function-related topics such as trigonometry, logarithms, and algebra. <p><em>This study was conducted with the aim of describing the forms of conceptual errors made by Mathematics Education study program students in solving set and function problems in real numbers, and analyzing the causes of errors made. The research method used was qualitative with descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of five students who were randomly selected, with the condition that they had taken related courses but still showed errors in working on problems. Data were collected through a questionnaire test designed to reveal students' conceptual understanding and analyzed using Kastolan's error classification. The results showed that procedural error was the most dominant type of error, with a percentage of 60%. Conceptual errors and technical errors each had a percentage of 20%. This finding shows that students still have difficulty in following the steps of solving problems coherently, understanding basic concepts, and performing calculation operations carefully. <p>This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the project-based learning model on student learning outcomes in circle material in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Taliwang for the 2024/2025 school year. This type of research is a quasi experimental design with the nonequivalent posttest only control group design. The population in this study is all grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Taliwang and the sample used is class VIII.4 as an experimental class and VIII.6 as a control class with the number of students in each class of 32 students selected using the cluster random sampling technique. The experimental class was treated with the application of a project-based learning model and the control class applied a conventional learning model. The research data collection technique uses test and observation techniques. The test instrument is in the form of a student learning outcome test (posttest) on circle material and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used the t-test. The results showed that there was a difference in the average learning outcomes of students who applied the project-based learning model, which was 91.2 and students who applied the conventional learning model, which was 68.2 The results showed that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and the control class. The average score of the students in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. <p>A reinsurance company is a company that provides reinsurance services against the risks faced by the insurance company (the insured). An insured is obliged to pay an amount of money in accordance with the agreement as a form of obligation from the insured for his participation in reinsurance which is called a premium. One method that can be used to determine future premiums based on past experience is limited fluctuation credibility which can predict the value of pure premiums in the future based on current data and insurance manual rates. Using the help of the limited fluctuation credibility method, this study will calculate the estimated value of claim frequency, claim size, aggregate losses and pure health insurance premiums using reinsurance claim experience data. The results of these calculations will be analyzed for differences in value with the value given by reinsurance companies in Indonesia. <p>Pharmaceutical product distribution faces specific challenges, particularly in managing product returns that can affect logistics efficiency and service quality. This study aims to predict the return quantity of pharmaceutical products using the ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) model and to classify bad goods risk based on the prediction results. The data used consists of monthly return records from a Pharmaceutical Wholesaler (PBF) for a products—Paracetamol Syrup—during the period from January 2023 to December 2024. The research methodology includes data preprocessing, ARIMA model identification and estimation, residual diagnostics, forecasting, and risk classification. The results show that the ARIMA(1,1,1) model provides sufficiently accurate forecasts for Paracetamol Syrup, with predicted returns over the next six months falling into the medium-risk category. These findings offer valuable insights for pharmaceutical wholesalers to anticipate potential losses due to damaged or expired products and to design distribution strategies that are more responsive to return patterns.</p>Felicia EldoraSuvriadi Panggabean

<p>Pemahaman terhadap konsep matematika berperan sebagai landasan esensial dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya dalam topik barisan dan deret aritmetika yang menuntut penguasaan terhadap pola serta hubungan antar konsep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi tingkat penguasaan metode barisan dan deret aritmetika siswa berdasarkan preferensi gaya belajar mereka, ditinjau melalui kerangka taksonomi SOLO. Pendekatan studi yang dipakai adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan 6 peserta didik kelas 8 dari SMP Negeri 2 Gambiran yang dipilih mewakili tiga tipe gaya belajar: visual, auditori, dan kinestetik. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup angket identifikasi gaya belajar, tes matematika, lembar observasi, serta panduan wawancara. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan adanya perbedaan tingkat pemahaman konsep barisan dan deret aritmetika pada siswa, sesuai dengan karakteristik gaya belajar masing-masing, yang diklasifikasikan ke dalam 5 jenjang taksonomi SOLO: prastruktural, unistruktural, multistruktural, relasional, dan extended abstract. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan literasi numerasi siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran <em>gallery walk</em> berbantuan media visual<em>. </em>Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian <em>pre-experimental designs </em>berupa <em>the one-grup pretest-posttest design. </em>Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Langsa tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang terdiri dari 2 kelas dengan jumlah masing-masing adalah 23 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah <em>simple random sampling</em>, dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VII-2. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes yang berbentuk soal uraian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada uji <em>paired sample t-test </em>diperoleh df = 22 dengan nilai <em>t<sub>tabel</sub></em> = 2,0739 dan <em>t<sub>hitung</sub></em> = 26,993 maka diperoleh hasil <em>t<sub>hitung</sub></em> > <em>t<sub>tabel</sub></em> = 26,993 > 2,0739 dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 sehingga <em>H<sub>0</sub> </em>ditolak dan <em>H<sub>a</sub></em> diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas VII-2 SMP Negeri 12 Langsa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran <em>gallery walk </em>berbantuan media visual. <p>This research develops mathematics questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) specifically designed to enhance students' higher-order thinking abilities through the context of waste problems. The purpose of this research is to develop HOTS-based mathematics questions within the context of waste issues. This study employs the Research and Development method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The development stage involves nine validators, consisting of subject matter experts, question experts, and media experts. The implementation stage involves 38 students divided into two groups. Validity, reliability, distinguishing power, and difficulty level of the mathematics questions are tested by having students work on the developed HOTS questions. The assessment of the practicality of the mathematics questions based on HOTS is conducted through student response questionnaires. The validation results from the nine validators indicate criteria of "Very Worthy to Use." The content validity tests are considered valid and reliable, resulting in difficulty levels and distinction powers that meet the criteria. The practicality trial of the mathematics questions based on HOTS with the context of waste issues received "very strong" criteria among the students. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the HOTS-based mathematics questions with the context of the waste problem as many as 20 questions are valid, practical, and suitable for use, because they have met the five requirements or characteristics of good questions, namely validity, reliability, objectivity, practicability and economy.</p>Maratul HamidahArini AlhaqFarida Farida

<p><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan motivasi dan meningkatkan pemahaman pembelajaran dengan penggunaan media ajar audiovisual yang dirancang melalui aplikasi Canva untuk materi bangun ruang. Peneliti ini mengimplementasikan media ajar audiovisual melalui Canva pada kelas VII diharapkan para siswa mendapatkan pembelajaran yang aktif, kreatif, dan menyenangkan. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek kelas VII SMPN 1 Tegalsari sebanyak 32 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui berbagai metode dengan angket, tes pemahaman konsep meliputi </span></span><em><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">pretest</span></span></em><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"> dan </span></span><em><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: inherit;">posttest</span></span></em><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span style="vertical-align: inherit;"> , wawancara, dan dokumentasi. <p>Efforts to improve student learning outcomes are one of the main goals in the education process, especially in mathematics subjects which are often considered challenging by most students. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This study is a type of classroom action research and uses descriptive analysis. The subjects of the study were 40 students of class X-8 SMAN 2 Mataram in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research instrument used in this study was a test of student learning achievement using formative assessment. After the analysis, it was found that in cycle I the average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes was 76.18 with a classical completeness criterion of 67.50%. While in cycle II the average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes was 89.74 with a classical completeness criterion of 85.00%. <p>Perhitungan integral merupakan salah satu konsep penting dalam matematika yang sering digunakan untuk menentukan luas area di bawah kurva. Namun, tidak semua fungsi dapat diintegralkan secara analitik karena kompleksitas bentuknya. Oleh karena itu, metode numerik seperti metode Simpson 3/8 dan metode Boole diperlukan sebagai pendekatan untuk memperoleh nilai hampiran dari integral tentu. Kedua metode ini memiliki kelebihan masing-masing dalam hal akurasi dan efisiensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas metode integral numerik Simpson 3/8 dan metode Boole dalam menentukan luas area di bawah kurva melalui implementasi dalam bahasa pemrograman PHP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen murni dengan mengimplementasikan algoritma kedua metode ke dalam aplikasi berbasis web. Pengujian dilakukan pada berbagai jenis fungsi polinomial, transenden, dan trigonometri—dengan membandingkan hasil pendekatan terhadap nilai eksak. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan dua aspek utama, yaitu efektivitas (dilihat dari akurasi) dan efisiensi (dilihat dari waktu komputasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Boole memiliki tingkat akurasi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan metode Simpson 3/8. Rata-rata galat yang dihasilkan oleh metode Boole untuk fungsi polinomial, transenden, dan trigonometri masing-masing adalah , , dan . Sebaliknya, metode Simpson 3/8 mencatat galat rata-rata sebesar , , dan 8 pada fungsi-fungsi yang sama. Di sisi lain, metode Simpson 3/8 lebih efisien dalam hal waktu eksekusi, dengan rentang waktu antara 0,49200 ms hingga 0,605625 ms, dibandingkan metode Boole yang membutuhkan waktu antara 0,475125 ms hingga 0,776625 ms. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model PBL berbantuan e-LKPD terhadap hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Labuapi Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah <em>quasi experimental design</em> dengan <em>posttest only non-equivalent control group design</em>. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Labuapi dan sampelnya adalah peserta didik kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan peserta didik kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan <em>purposive sampling</em>. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi dan lembar tes hasil belajar peserta didik <em>(posttest)</em> pada materi persamaan garis lurus yang sebelumnya sudah divalidasi oleh validator ahli sehingga dinyatakan valid untuk digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tes hasil belajar matematika peserta didik, diperoleh rata-rata skor kelas eksperimen sebesar dengan skor tertinggi dan rata-rata skor kelas kontrol sebesar dengan skor tertinggi . <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik melalui penerapan model <em>Problem Based Learning</em> (PBL) dengan pendekatan <em>Culturally Responsive Teaching</em> (CRT) pada materi peluang. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pada peserta didik kelas X.2 SMAN 2 Mataram. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Budaya lokal Lombok dijadikan sebagai konteks pembelajaran, antara lain kuliner tradisional dan permainan rakyat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal peserta didik dari 32,5% pada pra-siklus menjadi 45% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 80% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran yang responsif terhadap budaya mendorong keterlibatan aktif peserta didik dan mempermudah pemahaman konsep matematika. <p>Problematik mengacu pada kumpulan masalah kompleks yang membutuhkan pemahaman komprehensif untuk diselesaikan, terutama dalam konteks pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji permasalahan yang dihadapi siswa SMP dalam memecahkan operasi pecahan melalui analisis literatur terhadap sepuluh artikel nasional yang relevan. Tinjauan literatur digunakan sebagai metode utama, dengan fokus pada identifikasi jenis kesalahan siswa dan penyebab yang mendasarinya dalam pembelajaran pecahan. Analisis mengungkapkan sepuluh jenis masalah, termasuk kesulitan dalam memahami simbol, konsep, dan strategi solusi, serta masalah non-kognitif. Masalah paling dominan yang diidentifikasi adalah pemahaman konseptual dan kesalahpahaman konseptual. Penyebabnya berasal dari faktor terkait siswa, praktik guru, lingkungan belajar, dan sistem pendidikan yang lebih luas. <p>Active learning is one of the strategies used to create a fun learning atmosphere and increase student activity. One strategy that can be done is by implementing interactive media. Quizizz is an interactive game-based media that can provide a learning experience so that students are directly involved and can be used as an interactive learning evaluation media. In addition to being an evaluation media, Quizizz can build engagement between students and the media so that students are motivated to be more active. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Quizizz as an interactive evaluation tool to enhance students' learning motivation. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The instruments used in this study include observation sheets, learning motivation questionnaires, and quizzes on Quizizz. The results of this study indicate that the evaluation results obtained by implementing Quizizz as many as 74.3% of students scored above 68 which is included in the good assessment category. <p>Difficulties in learning can be one of the factors that cause learning obstacles. Learning obstacles can interfere with students' learning process internally and externally. This study aims to analyze learning obstacles that arise at the junior high school level to be the basis for making further designs. The research methodology used is a systematic literature review by collecting articles related to learning obstacles at the junior high school level. The data analysis technique used is data extraction. The data obtained were 15 articles related to learning obstacles in mathematics material at the junior high school level in the 2021-2024 period. The results obtained were ontogenic barriers, epistemological barriers, and didactic barriers. The ontogenic barriers obtained were students' unpreparedness during learning, lack of interest and motivation to learn, and lack of understanding of prerequisite material. The epistemological barriers obtained were misconceptions, unable to understand, identify, and analyze problems, inaccuracy, and limitations in solving the questions given. The didactic barriers obtained were teacher-centered learning, fast learning rhythm, inappropriate teaching material arrangements, and inadequate school facilities. <p>Lagrange polynomial interpolation is used to estimate the value of a function based on discrete data points. This research aims to explore and compare the effectiveness of the lagrange polynomial interpolation method using two technological approaches, namely the MATLAB software and the Android-based application Numerical Methods: Calculator. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a comparative method to test the efficiency, accuracy of results, ease of use, and visualization of both applications. The results show that MATLAB excels in computational capabilities and visualization, while the Numerical Method: Calculator application is more accessible and suitable for learning. <p>This study aims to improve seventh-grade students' data presentation ability through the implementation of differentiated learning integrated with Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in the form of student worksheets (LKPD). The study employed a Design-Based Research (DBR) approach involving 153 students from five classes at SMP Negeri 17 Mataram. The results indicated an increase in students' average scores from 43.97 to 63.04 after the intervention. Additionally, there was a shift in the distribution of ability categories from low to medium and high. Differentiated learning through PBL proved effective in addressing diverse learning readiness and encouraging active student engagement. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji unsur-unsur matematis dalam musik tradisional Sasak, khususnya pada alat musik Gendang Beleq, suling, dan gong, serta mengeksplorasi potensinya sebagai media pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi digunakan dalam pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap pemain musik tradisional di Desa Sukarara, Lombok Tengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam permainan Gendang Beleq terdapat pola bilangan berulang, frekuensi suara yang dapat dianalisis, serta struktur ritme yang mengandung konsep deret aritmatika. Alat musik suling menunjukkan hubungan antara panjang kolom udara dengan frekuensi nada, serta adanya pola bilangan dan deret dalam ritme permainan. Sementara itu, gong menunjukkan keterkaitan antara ukuran fisik dengan frekuensi dan jumlah harmonis yang dihasilkan. <p>Mumps is a contagious viral disease transmitted through respiratory droplets and close contact. It can cause symptoms like fever and salivary gland swelling. Despite the MMR vaccine, which offers partial protection, outbreaks persist, especially in college-aged individuals. Epidemiological models can aid in identifying effective prevention strategies for controlling mumps transmission. This paper proposes a mathematical model for mumps spread, considering quarantined individuals and complications. A global stability analysis of the mumps transmission model was performed, considering mortality and quarantine subpopulation. The Disease Free Equilibrium and Endemic Equilibrium Point are globally stable, confirmed by Lyapunov functions. Sensitivity analysis of the basic reproduction number shows that reducing birth rates and contact between infected and susceptible individuals effectively minimizes the infected population. <p>Impulsive buying is a consumer behavior that makes purchases without prior planning. Impulsive buying is one of the consumer behavior phenomena that is increasingly widespread, especially on e‑commerce platforms such as Shopee during massive promotions on beautiful dates. Multiple Discriminant Analysis (MDA) is a method that has the advantage of classifying individuals into groups based on several predictor variables. The purpose of this study is to classify consumers into groups or categories based on their tendency to make impulse purchases on beautiful dates by analyzing the factors that influence them. The results of this study indicate that the beautiful date can affect the behavior of impulsive buying. The discriminant function model formed is able to distinguish categories of impulsive buying behavior with a good classification accuracy rate of 86.25% and the model shows that price is the most dominant or influential factor in distinguishing the category of impulsive buying of Shopee users on beautiful dates. <p>The swift advancement of digital technology has resulted in a heightened frequency of online game usage among teenagers, raising concerns about potential addiction. This study aims to cluster urban villages in Gorontalo City based on the characteristics of online game addiction in adolescents, to support the formulation of more effective preventive policies. The method used is ensemble clustering with K-modes algorithm approach, which is effective for mixed numeric and categorical data. Data were obtained through a survey of adolescents aged 10-24 years in all urban villages, including indicators of lack of attention from close people, self-control, lack of activities, stress or depression, social environment, parenting, length of time playing online games, frequency of playing online games and many favorite online games. The clustering results obtained 3 optimum clusters, where cluster 1 consists of 7 neighborhoods, cluster 2 consists of 17 neighborhoods and cluster 3 consists of 26 neighborhoods. <p>Bullying is a social problem that has a negative impact on students' psychological development and learning environment. This study aims to develop a binary logistic regression model to explain bullying behavior and the factors that significantly influence bullying behavior among students at SMA Negeri 1 Tibawa. The method used was a quantitative survey through a questionnaire with 54 statements, including the variable bullying behavior (Y) and five independent variables: individual factors (X<sub>1</sub>), family factors (X<sub>2</sub>), peer factors (X<sub>3</sub>), school factors (X<sub>4</sub>), and social media factors (X<sub>5</sub>). A sample size of 300 students was selected using simple random sampling technique from a population of 1,197 students. The analysis was conducted using binary logistic regression with the help of RStudio software. Partial test results show that only peer factors (X<sub>3</sub>) have a significant effect on bullying behavior. The odds ratio value shows that students with moderate and high levels of peer influence are 7.47 and 38.34 times more likely to engage in bullying behavior compared to low levels. The Hosmer-Lemeshow test showed the model fit the data. <p>Mathematics learning is often considered abstract and less relevant to real life, making it difficult for students to understand the concept. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) offers an approach that helps students build understanding through real situations. The Peresean tradition with its competition structure and cultural values has the potential to be a concrete and meaningful combination learning context. This study aims to design a realistic mathematics learning design that integrates the Peresean tradition into a combination of materials at the Senior High School level. The main problem behind this study is the low understanding of students towards the combination concept due to the delivery of material that is too abstract and has minimal relevance to real life. The RME approach offers a solution through the use of the real context of the Peresean Tradition which was chosen because it has a competition structure that has the potential to be mathematically modeled in the combination context, such as selecting opponents or compiling match schemes. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of design research in the development studies category. The research process is limited to the preliminary design stage, which includes context analysis, literature studies, and the development of learning designs. <p>Fraction sense is a critical aspect of number sense, particularly for prospective mathematics teachers. This study aims to describe students’ fraction sense from two main perspectives: visualization and estimation strategies. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method involving 80 fourth-year mathematics education students. Data were collected through a fraction sense test and semi-structured interviews. The findings indicate that students’ overall fraction sense was moderate, with an average score of 37.2. Students demonstrated higher performance in estimation strategies (68%) compared to visual representation tasks (32%). Many students struggled to interpret visual fraction models, especially when presented in unfamiliar forms such as non-standard diagrams or number lines. The results suggest that students' thinking remains procedural and lacks conceptual flexibility. Therefore, it is recommended that visual representation be more explicitly integrated into teaching practices as a tool to support estimation and foster meaningful fraction sense.</p>Nourma Pramestie WulandariUlfa Lu'luilmaknunTabita Wahyu TriutamiDwi Novitasari

<p>This study aims to determine the effect of linguistic intelligence and mathematical logic on the learning outcomes of mathematics students in grade VIII SMPN 2 Kediri academic year 2024/2025. This study is a quantitative study with the type of ex-post facto research, a population of 118 people with a sample of 92 students selected by simple random sampling technique. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression analysis. Based on the data analysis obtained (1) 35 students (38%) have very high linguistic and mathematical logical intelligence, (2) 38 students (41%) have high mathematical learning outcomes, (3) students with very high linguistic and mathematical logical intelligence values 35 people, 2 of whom have very high mathematical learning outcomes, 22 people of high category and 11 people of medium to very low category. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis obtained regression equation that is Y=31.528+0.332 X, means there is an influence of linguistic intelligence and mathematical logic on the learning outcomes of mathematics students grade VIII SMPN 2 Kediri academic year 2024/2025 with a contribution of influence given by 19.3%.</p>Laela NurhidayatiNyoman SridanaDwi NovitasariSripatmi Sripatmi

<p>Indonesia's tourism sector experienced a drastic decline due to the pandemic, with the number of foreign tourists falling by 64.64% in 2020, disrupting contributions to the country's GDP and foreign exchange. The lack of application of stochastic models to predict foreign tourist arrivals nationwide is a challenge in policy planning. This research aims to build a Markov Chain-based prediction model to estimate the number of foreign tourists in 2026, overcoming the weaknesses of conventional approaches that are deterministic. The method used is the analysis of the probability of transition between states (Increase/Decrease/Stable) based on historical data of tourist arrivals. The prediction results show that the number of foreign tourists in 2026 reached 18,202,215 people, indicating an optimistic growth trend and potential recovery of the tourism sector. <p>The linear operator T: X --> X is called an hypercyclic operator if there exist such that the orbit of under the operator T is dense in X. This study aims to construct an explicit hypercyclic operator on the sequence space \(\ell^p\), by modifying the backward shift operator using a non-constant weight sequence. This approach differs from Rolewicz's classical method, which used constant weights. The method applied is constructive and formal, relying on deductive reasoning in mathematical proofs. Two operators—weighted left and right shifts—are introduced and their properties are analyzed, including their composition and iterative behavior. The main result is the construction of a specific operator \(S_\bold{a}\) weighted by \(\bold{a}=(a_n)\) that is proven to be hypercyclic. The proof involves demonstrating the existence of a vector whose orbit under \(S_\bold{a}\) is dense in \(\ell^p\).</p>Nur AfandiSeptri DamayantiRatna Widayati

<p>Kemampuan representasi matematika memegang peranan krusial dalam pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah program linear. Sayangnya, beragam penelitian mengungkap beragam hasil terkait kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada Program Linear. <em>Systematic Literature Review</em> (SLR) terhadap 11 artikel terbitan 2021-2025, berfokus pada siswa kelas XI, menyoroti dominasi representasi simbolik yang lebih dikuasai, sementara representasi visual dan verbal masih menjadi kendala. Faktor-faktor seperti gaya belajar, minat, dan pola pikir siswa terbukti signifikan memengaruhi kemampuan representasi ini. Lebih lanjut, model pembelajaran inovatif seperti <em>Connected Mathematics Project</em> (CMP) menunjukkan keunggulan dibandingkan metode konvensional. <p>The education sector needs to adapt to the changing times, one of which is through learning technology. There are many types of learning technology, two of which are Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). The purpose of this study is to describe the application of virtual and augmented reality in mathematics learning as viewed from the level of education and its influence. A Systematic Literature Review was used in this research method to examine the application of AR and VR in mathematics learning. The results show that AR and VR are used at almost all levels of education, including elementary school, junior high school (SMP), senior high school (SMA), and university. However, they are more commonly used at the junior high school and senior high school levels. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan dalam pengembangan <em>e-modul</em> matematika berbasis <em>STEAM</em> pada siswa SMP guna menambah sumber bahan ajar yang terbatas dan meningkatkan pemahaman serta motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran <em>(mix method)</em>. Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dokumen hasil belajar siswa, kemudian data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui wawancara guru matematika dan observasi proses pembelajaran. Data kuantitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui kebutuhan dan hasil belajar siswa, sementara data kualitatif digunakan untuk memperjelas dan memperdalam temuan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa sebagian besar siswa merasa kesulitan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika, dengan 79,1% siswa memperoleh hasil belajar dalam kategori sedang (nilai antara 60-74). Selain itu, hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa 63,33% siswa menyatakan mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika, 100% siswa menyatakan guru dominan menggunakan metode ceramah. Sebanyak 90% siswa setuju dengan pengembangan e-modul berbasis STEAM, dan 83,33% tertarik untuk belajar menggunakan media tersebut. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya pengembangan <em>e-modul</em> matematika yang berbasis <em>STEAM</em> pada siswa kelas VII. Pengembangan e-modul ini diharapkan mampu memberikan kontribusi dalam mendorong kemandirian belajar siswa, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, serta mengembangkan kreativitas siswa.</p>Suci Nandiah PuspandariWiwin Astuti

<p>Mathematical representation ability is one of the essential and fundamental components that students need to express their mathematical ideas during the learning process. However, field observations show that students' ability to represent mathematical ideas is still relatively low, including those related to the topic of quadrilaterals. This condition is influenced by the diversity in students’ learning processes, one of which is caused by differences in learning styles. To investigate this issue, a study is needed to obtain a comprehensive description of students' forms of mathematical representation in solving quadrilateral problems, viewed from the perspective of their learning styles. The learning style used in this study is Honey and Mumford's learning style model. This study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The subjects of the study were three eighth-grade students from MTsN in Mataram City. The data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The results showed that students with an activist learning style tend to experience difficulties in modeling their ideas geometrically when solving problems related to quadrilaterals. They were less able to model and interpret problems in detail. However, when faced with problems that involved representing their ideas to find solutions to real-life situations, in general, students with an activist learning style were able to find appropriate solutions.</p>Alfian Eka UtamaDita Oktavihari
