<p>Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan tingginya kecemasan matematika siswa. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah membentuk Komunitas Belajar Matematika Kreatif bagi siswa SMP–SMA di Asrama Putri Seraphine. Subjek kegiatan berjumlah 18 siswa yang dilibatkan dalam pendampingan intensif selama dua bulan dengan mengintegrasikan pendekatan <em>guided discovery learning</em>, <em>problem-based learning</em>, dan <em>math talk learning community</em>. Kegiatan diawali dengan pemberian pretest untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal siswa, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan aktivitas pembelajaran kolaboratif berupa diskusi kelompok, pemecahan masalah kontekstual, permainan edukatif, serta tutor sebaya. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui posttest dan observasi selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematika siswa, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 14,06 (38,0%) menjadi 27,83 (75,23%). Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan peningkatan keaktifan, kepercayaan diri, dan keterlibatan dalam pembelajaran. Namun, kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa masih belum berkembang secara optimal, terutama dalam menjelaskan langkah penyelesaian secara sistematis. Dengan demikian, pembentukan komunitas belajar matematika kreatif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterlibatan siswa. <p><strong><span data-contrast="none">Abstract</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"335551550":6,"335551620":6}"> </span></p> <p><em><span data-contrast="auto">The present studies show that environmental problems caused by household waste are a critical issue, including in Indonesia. A survey conducted in 2020 among 140 households that use cooking oil revealed that only 35.7% of respondents dispose of their used cooking oil. A promising approach is the upcycling or recycling of waste into products with added value. This concept is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 11, which deals with sustainable cities and settlements. The overarching goal of SDG 11 is to emphasise the importance of creating cities and settlements that are inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. This study focuses on analysing the potential of recycling used oil in the community of Dukuh Pakis with the aim of promoting the realisation of sustainable settlements. Survei yang dilakukan pada tahun 2020 terhadap 140 rumah tangga yang menggunakan minyak goreng menunjukkan bahwa hanya 35,7% responden yang membuang minyak goreng bekas mereka. Pendekatan yang menjanjikan adalah daur ulang atau pengolahan limbah menjadi produk bernilai tambah. Konsep ini sejalan dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), khususnya SDG 11 yang berkaitan dengan kota dan pemukiman berkelanjutan. Tujuan utama SDG 11 adalah menekankan pentingnya menciptakan kota dan pemukiman yang inklusif, aman, tangguh, dan berkelanjutan. <p>Food safety is a vital aspect of food service, especially in higher education facilities, which tend to have high food consumption rates and involve diverse consumer groups. Low awareness and suboptimal implementation of food safety practices by canteen managers or food handlers can increase the risk of foodborne illnesses that have an impact on the health of the academic community. Therefore, this community service activity was carried out with the aim of increasing the knowledge, awareness, and skills of Mataram University canteen managers in implementing food safety principles appropriately and sustainably. The methods used in this activity included interactive workshops on the basic concepts of food safety, introduction to the types and sources of potential food hazards (biological, chemical, and physical) in the food processing process, and the application of the five keys to food safety. The effectiveness of the program was evaluated through pre-tests and post-tests to measure the increase in participants' knowledge, as well as observations of participants' participation and enthusiasm during the activity. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' level of understanding from the moderate category of 56% to the high category of 81%. <p>Digital transformation in primary education requires teachers to adopt more innovative and adaptive learning methods. This Community Service (PKM) aims to enhance the competence of primary school teachers in utilizing interactive gamification-based learning media combined with a deep learning approach. The activity was conducted at SD Negeri Ulee Paya, Pulo Aceh District, involving teachers from the school. The implementation methods included surveys, counseling, face-to-face training, practice creating media using the Wordwall and Gimkid platforms, and an introduction to implementing simple deep learning to personalize learning materials. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests, observation of practice, and satisfaction questionnaires. The results showed an increase in participants' average knowledge, from 65 to 90, with 90% of teachers at Ulee Paya State Elementary School understanding the concept of gamification and the basic principles of deep learning. Teachers can create learning media using Wordwall and Gmkit applications. This activity increased motivation and understanding of technology among teachers at Ulee Paya State Elementary School, while also opening opportunities to apply adaptive learning at the elementary school level. <p style="font-weight: 400;">This community service program aims to strengthen the capacity of women entrepreneurs in implementing sharia-based business management. The participants consisted of 20 women from Aisyiyah Kenongo Branch, Sidoarjo, who are engaged in micro-scale businesses. Although the participants had basic knowledge of sharia business principles, their implementation in daily business practices was still limited, particularly in terms of contract (akad) application, financial record-keeping, and business development strategies. The program employed a participatory approach through socialization, training, and mentoring activities. The materials covered fundamental principles of sharia business, transaction contracts, simple financial management, and the utilization of digital technology to support business activities. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of sharia-based business practices, as well as positive changes in their business behavior, including increased transparency in transactions and the adoption of basic financial recording systems. Furthermore, the program enhanced participants’ confidence and encouraged collaboration among members. <p>Character development is a crucial aspect in preparing students to face the challenges of globalization. Strong character traits are essential for enabling students to adapt and engage positively within their social environment. This community service program aims to strengthen character education among junior high school students through science learning based on local wisdom. The program was carried out at SMPN 9 Magelang using a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 32 seventh-grade students. The activities were conducted over three sessions: (1) administering a pretest and delivering material on the local wisdom of Mount Tidar; (2) deepening the discussion on ecosystems and energy flow in Mount Tidar through group-based activities; and (3) group presentations and administration of the posttest. Integrating scientific concepts with local wisdom was intended to instill character values such as responsibility, environmental awareness, collaboration, and appreciation for local culture. The results show that students participated enthusiastically and actively in discussions and presentations throughout the program. Contextualized science learning that incorporates local wisdom was proven effective in enhancing students’ understanding of ecosystems and energy flow while simultaneously strengthening their positive character traits. <p>This community service program aims to increase the business capacity of Kampung Lemon by strengthening marketing, product innovation, branding, and financial management. The main challenges faced include conventional marketing, limited product innovation, the lack of a visual product identity, and a manual financial recording system. The method used in this program is direct mentoring through training and practice for business owners. Activities include creating and managing digital marketing accounts through e-commerce platforms and social media, developing the "Lempah" liquid lemon product for increased shelf life, creating a logo as a product identity, and developing a simple Microsoft Excel-based bookkeeping template. The results of this activity indicate an increase in digital marketing capabilities, marked by increased market reach, improved quality of the liquid lemon product for better marketability, the creation of a more professional product visual identity, and a more organized and systematic financial recording system. <p>TK Khairnai, located in Lubok Batee Village, Subdistrict of Ingin Jaya, Aceh Besar, has been established since 2006 and has Akreditasi B. The school has 17 teachers and 3 staff members, and is equipped with 6 classrooms. The main challenges the teachers face include limited use of digital technology in the learning process and students’ difficulty maintaining concentration during the lessons. At the PAUD/TK (early childhood education and kindergarten) level, the use of interactive digital media is essential because it can help improve students’ focus, motivation, and active participation in learning activities. One of the technology-based learning innovations that can be utilized is Wordwall, an interactive learning media that provides various educational games and engaging activities to support the learning process in the classroom. This community service aims to enhance the teachers’ competence in utilising technology at TK Khairani and to improve teacher quality and professionalism. It is carried out through a series of mentoring stages, including: socialisation, training, technology implementation, mentoring, evaluation, and sustainability program. <p>Limited access to clean water remains a major challenge for rural communities, particularly in Caren Hamlet, Blitar Regency, where seasonal droughts significantly affect public health, productivity, and quality of life. Caren Hamlet is part of Wonotirto Village. Located near forest areas, hills, and agricultural land, around 70% of the population in Caren Hamlet is classified as economically disadvantaged and highly dependent on clean water availability for daily needs. This community empowerment program aims to improve access to clean water through a zakat-based Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by PT Petrogas Jatim Utama Cendana, managed by Lembaga Manajemen Infaq (LMI). The program implementation involved several stages, including community needs assessment, participatory planning, bore well construction, and sustainability evaluation. The results show that collaboration among the company, zakat management institution, and local community was a key factor in the program’s success. Despite technical challenges related to geological conditions and non-technical challenges arising from social dynamics. <p>Asabri pension services through the submission of the Statement of Proof of Identity (SPTB) constitute an essential component of public services, as they directly affect the continuity of pension benefit disbursement. Along with the implementation of digital transformation through the Asabri Mobile application, the reporting process requires users to have sufficient technical understanding to conduct identity verification, data entry, and document uploads independently. However, in practice, many pensioners experience difficulties due to limited digital literacy, particularly among elderly users. This condition is evident in service implementation at PT Pos Indonesia KCP Krembangan, which serves as a frontline service unit providing direct assistance to pensioners during the reporting process. This community service activity aims to optimize SPTB reporting services through structured and direct assistance in using the Asabri Mobile application. The implementation method involved direct engagement in service activities, field observation, and technical assistance to pensioners throughout the reporting process. The results indicate that systematic assistance improves the smoothness of reporting, reduces data upload and verification errors, and enhances pensioners’ understanding of application procedures. In conclusion, optimizing digital public services requires the active role of service officers in providing inclusive, adaptive, and user-oriented assistance tailored to the needs of elderly pensioners.</p>Zahra Aini Nasyifa, Ira Wikartika

<p><strong>Abstract</strong></p> <p>Numeracy skills at the elementary education level are essential competencies that go beyond basic arithmetic, encompassing the ability to understand, use, and interpret quantitative concepts in everyday life. However, various studies indicate that Indonesian elementary school students still demonstrate low numeracy performance, particularly in solving basic arithmetic operations and contextual problems. A similar condition was found at SDM Karuni in Letekonda Selatan Village, Southwest Sumba Regency, where students experienced difficulties in basic mathematics operations and lacked learning support outside school hours.</p> <p>This community service study aimed to improve students’ numeracy skills through an afternoon tutoring program based on contextual learning approaches, educational games, and the debit-credit method. The program was conducted over three months involving 18 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using pre-tests, formative tests, and post-tests, and analyzed descriptively along with N-Gain calculations.</p> <p>The results showed a significant improvement in students’ numeracy skills, with the average score increasing from 46.11 in the pre-test to 90.28 in the post-test. The N-Gain value of 0.82 was categorized as high, indicating that the afternoon tutoring program was effective in improving students’ understanding of basic arithmetic operations. Therefore, this program can serve as an effective alternative instructional strategy to enhance numeracy skills in elementary school students, particularly in areas with limited access to learning assistance.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Keywords: n</strong>umeracy; tutoring; rural education; mathematics; basic operations</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Kemampuan numerasi pada jenjang sekolah dasar merupakan keterampilan penting dalam membangun kemampuan berpikir logis, pemecahan masalah, serta pemahaman konsep kuantitatif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, masih banyak siswa sekolah dasar di Indonesia yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menguasai operasi hitung dasar dan menyelesaikan soal kontekstual. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa SDM Karuni, Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya, melalui kegiatan bimbingan sore. Program dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan dengan melibatkan 18 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah pembelajaran kontekstual yang dipadukan dengan permainan edukatif serta pendekatan debet dan kredit, dengan fokus pada empat operasi dasar matematika yaitu penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian, dan pembagian. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test, tes formatif, dan post-test, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan rata-rata nilai dan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan numerasi siswa yang signifikan, dengan rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 46,11 pada pre-test menjadi 90,28 pada post-test. Nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,82 termasuk kategori tinggi. <p style="font-weight: 400;">The administrative demands of the Merdeka Curriculum have placed a significant burden on teachers, particularly in preparing comprehensive learning tools, including annual programs (Prota), semester programs (Promes), teaching modules, student worksheets (LKPD), and assessment instruments. This community service activity aimed to examine the implementation of SIPENA (Sistem Perangkat Pembelajaran), an AI-integrated, web-based platform designed to automate administrative tasks for mathematics teachers at SMP Islam Ibnu Hanbal Tasikmalaya. The activity was conducted in two sessions on March 2 and 6, 2026, with 16 teachers and school staff participating. Data were collected through pre- and post-training surveys using a Likert-scale questionnaire, with 14 respondents in the pre-training survey and 8 in the post-training survey. Results showed a notable increase in teachers' understanding of learning administration preparation, from a mean score of 3.71 to 4.50 out of 5 (an improvement of 21.2%). Participants rated both the trainer's presentation quality and the facility's quality at 4.88 out of 5. All survey respondents expressed their intention to apply SIPENA in their teaching practice. <p>This community service activity aimed to assist a teacher in implementing a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with phenomenon model in statistics instruction at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. The main issue faced by the partner was the limited ability to design contextual learning experiences that connect statistical concepts to real-world phenomena. To address this issue, a mentoring program was conducted through workshops, lesson planning, classroom implementation, observation, and reflection. The program involved one model teacher in an initial intensive implementation stage. Data were collected through field notes, observations, teacher reflections, and documentation of classroom activities and students’ work. The results indicate that the teacher understood and implemented the PjBL model effectively. Students also showed active engagement, particularly in exploring, analyzing, and interpreting data from real-world contexts. The activity contributed positively to improving the teacher’s instructional practices and provided more meaningful learning experiences for students. <p>Social empathy and economic literacy among children in rural areas remain low, thereby hindering community development amid Indonesia’s Dikdasaintek policy, which emphasizes technology-based education and innovation that positively impact society. This study aims to strengthen children’s social empathy and economic literacy through community cooperative education as an implementation of the Dikdasaintek policy within the Community Service Program (KKN) in Punie Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar. The method employed involved collaborative KKN activities, including workshops on cooperative principles, direct simulations of saving and borrowing activities, and community engagement games attended by 50 elementary school children. The results showed a 35% increase in empathy scores based on pre- and post-surveys and a 42% increase in economic literacy, as evidenced by the children’s ability to independently and responsibly manage a simulated cooperative. Community participation also increased by 60%, encouraging the emergence of sustainable local initiatives to support village community empowerment in the social and economic aspects of local society. <p>This community service activity aimed to provide intensive mentoring for the Lupa Susah Music Studio in Bogenga Village, Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, in preparation for an inclusive music performance involving diverse community groups, including audiences with disabilities. The studio is an arts community that preserves and develops traditional Ngada music through local instruments, including traditional drums, bamboo-based bowed instruments, and acoustic guitars adapted to Flores musical patterns. This activity used a <em>participatory action research</em> approach, in which the service team acted as facilitators and co-learners throughout the mentoring process. The mentoring was carried out through three stages: needs assessment, intensive workshops on traditional instrument techniques and collaborative arrangement, and rehearsal mentoring before the performance. The results showed improvement in technical playing ability, ensemble cohesion, stage readiness, and members’ confidence to perform in a broader public space. <p>The main objective of this community service activity is to provide support as an effort to improve the performance of Indonesian National Sitting Volleyball Team athletes through scientific mentoring based on sports science. The main focus of this activity includes the implementation of anthropometric tests and physical conditions as a foundation in developing training programs in the anatomical adaptation phase for the men's and women's sitting volleyball teams in preparation for the 2026 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand. A total of 16 athletes consisting of 8 male athletes and 8 female athletes were involved in this mentoring activity. There are three main stages in the implementation of this activity including physical condition assessment, preparation of training programs based on test results, and implementation and evaluation of training adaptations. The mentoring was carried out directly at the GOR PGSD Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta as the location of the National Training Center, which was carried out from September to November 2025. The mentoring that has been carried out has succeeded in determining test items relevant to the characteristics of sitting volleyball, such as upper body muscle strength, core muscle endurance, agility, and flexibility, resulting in a more accurate athlete profiling. A three-week program of anatomical adaptation training mentoring demonstrated significant improvements in functional strength, postural stability, and motor control for both the men's and women's teams. This program significantly contributed to preparing athletes for the advanced training phase and strengthened collaboration between universities and the Indonesian National Paralympic Games (NPC) in implementing evidence-based coaching. <p>This community service activity aims to enhance the competence of elementary school teachers in designing innovative and engaging learning media that are aligned with the needs of 21st-century learners. This activity was motivated by the limited ability of teachers to utilize digital technology as a learning medium, while the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires creative, interactive, and student-centered learning approaches. Based on the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning, the use of digital learning media that integrates visual and interactive elements can improve students’ motivation and understanding during the learning process. However, the main challenges faced by teachers include limited technological skills and a lack of creativity in developing interactive learning media. The training was conducted through several stages, including socialization, theoretical and practical training on media design using simple digital applications such as Canva, interactive PowerPoint, and Liveworksheet, as well as assistance in developing learning media products. The activity was carried out over two days using lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice methods. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ skills and understanding in designing contextual and engaging digital learning media. The teachers also demonstrated high enthusiasm and commitment to implementing the outcomes of the training in classroom learning activities. <p>The teacher centered approach in learning Islamic Cultural History often leads to low student participation and understanding. This community service activity aims to implement a participatory learning model using the Index Card Match technique combined with storytelling for 6th-grade students at MDTA Al-Hidayah. The method followed a structured process: opening, core activities (storytelling and card matching), closing, and evaluation. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, and observation sheets. Results showed a significant increase in students' cognitive scores, from an average of 59 to 89.5, with a Wilcoxon test significance of 0.000. Furthermore, 18 out of 19 students showed improved learning outcomes. The evaluation instrument also met high validity standards with an index of 0.891. <p>Numeracy has become one of the Indonesian government’s priority programs to improve the quality of the national education report. In 2024, the education report of SDN 2 Suela indicated that student numeracy skills required significant improvement. Interviews with teachers at the school revealed that they face challenges in implementing numeracy within the local context and still lack a deep understanding of numeracy concepts. To address this issue, a workshop was conducted to strengthen teachers’ understanding and implementation of numeracy through conceptual reinforcement, lesson planning, and classroom practices. The methods included: (a) introducing the cultural context of the Sasak community and Rinjani Geopark as potential resources for numeracy learning, (b) training teachers on strengthening numeracy concepts and classroom implementation, and (c) utilizing a numeracy module developed by the community service team to be implemented and adapted in classroom learning. <p>One of the key skills that students must have in the 21st century is creative thinking. This skill has become a widespread mandate across all sectors of education, industry, and government. The importance of creative thinking skills is not yet in line with the current low level of creative thinking skills among students. One important aspect in developing creativity in learning is the teacher. Through Community Service, lecturers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Swijaya University provide teachers with knowledge on how to apply creative thinking in learning, improve teachers' skills in developing creative thinking instruments, and improve teachers' skills in applying creative thinking in learning through lesson study. The implementation of community service consists of five stages, namely needs analysis, socialization, training and technology application, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. Through this community service, teachers' knowledge and skills in developing creative thinking instruments have been successfully improved. <p><em>The enhancement of the added value and competitiveness of local food products in Keru Village is constrained by a limited understanding of food packaging and labeling standards. The community service activity aimed to enhance the knowledge of the community in Keru Village, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency regarding the importance of proper food packaging and labeling in accordance with established standards to improve the competitiveness of local products. The activity involved 23 participants consisting of palm sap farmers and members of the PKK women’s group. The methods used included administering an initial questionnaire (pre-test) to assess participants’ prior knowledge, delivering material through interactive lectures, and administering a final questionnaire (post-test) to evaluate participants’ understanding after the activity. The pre-test and post-test data were then analyzed descriptively. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge, where pre-test scores were categorized as low to moderate, while post-test scores improved to a high category. This indicates that the community service activity was highly effective in enhancing participants’ understanding. <p>This Community Service activity was carried out in response to the flash flood disaster in Simpang Lhee Village, Manyak Payed District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, which caused a clean water crisis due to the contamination of community water sources. The objective of the activity was to provide access to clean water through the application of appropriate technology in the form of portable clean water tanks and to increase community preparedness for disaster emergencies. The implementation method used a participatory approach through the stages of socialization, technology application, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that the installation of portable clean water tanks with a capacity of approximately 1,000 liters was able to increase community access to clean water in a more equitable and sustainable manner. This program also increased community knowledge about clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS), reduced the risk of disease due to the use of unsafe water, and reduced community expenditure. In addition, community participation in clean water management and preparedness for clean water crises also increased. <p>The rapid development of digital technology demands an increase in the quality of human resources (HR) that are adaptive to change, especially in the field of information technology. One of the competencies needed is the ability to develop web-based applications, which are increasingly relevant to industry needs. This community service activity aims to improve students' digital competencies and reduce the dynamic skills gap through web application development training. The partners in this activity were grade X students of SMKN 2 Mataram with a total of more than 20 participants. The training method used was a learning-by-doing approach, which included material delivery, demonstrations, direct practice, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in the average score of participants from 65 in the pre-test to 85 in the post-test, indicating a significant increase in participant understanding. In addition, participants were also able to develop simple web applications and demonstrated improved problem-solving skills and self-confidence. <p>Simpang Tiga Village has the potential for superior products such as pelawan mushrooms, pelawan honey, and red rice with high economic value, but product marketing is still carried out conventionally so that market reach is limited and has an impact on community income that is not optimal. In addition, the low digital literacy of the community and the absence of digital-based marketing media are obstacles in developing the village economy. This community service activity aims to increase the economic potential of Simpang Tiga Village through the implementation of an e-commerce website for the village's superior products using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The implementation method is carried out through five ABCD stages, namely identifying village assets, strengthening village assets, mapping and developing networks, developing action plans, and implementing and evaluating activities. Activities carried out include developing an e-commerce website, training on website usage, and digital marketing assistance to the community and BUMDes managers. The results of the activity show that the e-commerce website is able to help promote the village's superior products digitally and increase community understanding of digital marketing. Based on the results of the evaluation of 23 participants, the average understanding score increased from 48.69 in the pre-test to 86.00 in the post-test with a percentage increase of 74,57%. <p>The community service activity was motivated by the urgent need to improve digital competency among educators, especially junior high school teachers. The aim of this activity is to improve teachers' digital competence through technical training in creating innovative Android-based teaching materials using the Canva and iSpring applications, which are expected to be used directly in the classroom learning process.. In addition, this activity aims to improve teacher creativity in designing more interesting and interactive learning media. This activity was attended by 32 teachers from SMPN 4 Majene, and was held for 3 days in September 2025. The activity implementation methods include: 1). Survey of participant needs and initial assessment; 2). Preparation and distribution of training modules; 3). Implementation of offline training with a learning-by-doing approach; 4). Direct practice session on creating Android-based teaching material applications using a simple, user friendly platform; 5). Mentoring and evaluation of the results of the development of digital teaching materials by participants. <p>Community-based environmental health advocacy in rural Indonesia remains underdeveloped, particularly in remote coastal villages with limited sanitation infrastructure. This community service aimed to identify dominant environmental health problems, implement participatory policy advocacy, and produce a policy brief as a formal recommendation for village government. Using a qualitative approach with with case study design and participatory action research (PAR), data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study involving 15 purposively selected informants comprising village officials, health cadres, community leaders, PKK representatives, and community health center officers. Rapid assessment revealed that 74% of households lacked adequate domestic wastewater management, 68% practiced improper solid waste disposal, 55% experienced limited clean water access, and 38% still engaged in open defecation. Advocacy capacity building carried out through focused group discussions, advocacy training, and policy brief mentoring successfully shifted the community paradigm from passive recipients to active policy agents. The policy brief produced through participatory processes secured a formal commitment from the village head to incorporate communal sanitation programs into the Village Government Work Plan (RKPDes). <p>This community service activity was carried out in Simpang Lhee Village, Manyak Payed District, Aceh Tamiang Regency as an effort to restore clean water access after the flash flood disaster that caused damage to community water sources. This program aims to provide clean water access through the optimization of water pumps based on appropriate technology that is easy to operate and sustainable. The implementation method was carried out in a participatory manner through stages of socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, and evaluation. The activity was attended by 35 participants consisting of the community, village officials, students, and lecturers. The results of the activity showed that the installation of water pumps succeeded in providing more stable clean water access for the affected community with a service capacity reaching around 520 people or a clean water need of ± 7,800–10,400 liters per day. In addition, there was an increase in community capacity in managing clean water facilities, demonstrated by increased knowledge of clean and healthy living behaviors, the ability to operate water pumps independently, and the formation of village clean water management groups. The evaluation results showed that all community empowerment indicators were in the high category with a percentage of 80%–84%. This program is considered effective in reducing dependence on external aid, reducing the risk of water-based diseases, and strengthening community independence in facing future disasters.</p>Agus Putra AS, Fairus Fairus, Afrah Junita

<p>Neurosains menjadi pendekatan penting dalam pendidikan modern karena mampu menjelaskan hubungan antara fungsi otak dan proses pembelajaran. Pemahaman ini membantu pendidik menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang efektif, menyenangkan, dan sesuai dengan perkembangan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pentingnya edukasi neurosains dalam mendukung pembelajaran efektif melalui studi literatur. Metode yang digunakan meliputi workshop edukatif berbasis <em>learning by doing</em> serta kajian literatur terhadap artikel ilmiah relevan dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip neurosains di sekolah dasar mampu meningkatkan perhatian, motivasi, retensi memori, kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta pengendalian emosi peserta didik. Selain itu, strategi pembelajaran berbasis neurosains seperti pendekatan multisensori, pembelajaran aktif, penguatan emosi positif, dan pengulangan berkala terbukti mengoptimalkan fungsi otak dalam menerima informasi. <p>This community service program aims to enhance family resilience through the development of the strategic potential of the millennial mothers’ community in the Sekolah Ibu Hebat program in Jambangan District, Surabaya. The program was implemented using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, consisting of the stages of enculturation, discovery, design, define, and reflection. The community service activities were conducted over a three-month period, from January to March 2025, involving 35 millennial mothers who are members of the Sekolah Ibu Hebat community under Rumah Keluarga Indonesia. The main issues faced by the target community included low digital literacy, limited parenting skills, inadequate family financial management, and restricted social support networks for families. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and activity documentation. The results of the program showed a 68% improvement in participants’ digital literacy skills, a 74% increase in parenting understanding, and the establishment of a community-based social support network that strengthened emotional support among members. In addition, 80% of participants reported greater confidence in managing their families in the digital era. The program also produced several outputs, including a digital parenting module, family mentoring groups, and an online communication forum for the millennial mothers’ community. This community service initiative demonstrates that the ABCD approach is effective in strengthening community participation while enhancing family resilience through the optimization of the social, cultural, and digital assets within the community. <p>This community service program aimed to improve the professionalism of junior high school mathematics teachers through training on developing interactive learning videos using Canva oriented toward deep learning. The program was conducted in the Mathematics Teachers’ Working Group (MGMP) of West Lombok through several stages, including preparation of training materials, program socialization, training implementation, classroom application, mentoring, and evaluation. The training materials covered the concept of deep learning, the use of Canva as an IT-based learning medium, and practical activities in creating interactive mathematics learning videos. Evaluation was carried out using questionnaires to determine participants’ responses and understanding of the training activities. The results showed that participants gave positive responses to all aspects of the training. Teachers experienced improvements in understanding, creativity, and skills in developing interactive learning media using Canva. <p>Teratak Village has a number of natural resources, including mangosteen, durian, and banana commodities, as well as natural tourism potential. The tourism potential of Teratak Village includes the Rinjani Geopark, Tereng Kuning, Blue Lake, Elong Tune Waterfall, and Serawah Waterfall. However, the development of tourism and UMKM is still not optimal. This is due to the lack of specific knowledge and skills in handling the tourism sector, as well as the development of MSMEs based on local potential. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve agro-industrial management through the development of edu-ecotourism, enhance public knowledge and skills in tourism management, and develop local MSME clusters through the diversification of banana and mangosteen products as well as digital marketing. In the implementation of activities, several programs were carried out, starting with the preparation of activity schedules and targets, followed by Forum Group Discussions (FGDs) along with socialization and training. Socialization and training activities included banana and mangosteen product diversification and production management. A mapping of potential edu-ecotourism objects was obtained through the Forum Group Discussions (FGDs). <p>This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance news literacy and digital journalism skills among students at SMP Islam Cendikia Darussalam in response to the increasing spread of hoaxes on social media. The program was implemented through a participatory approach involving socialization, training, mentoring, and hands-on practice sessions with teachers and students. The training covered topics such as digital literacy, information verification techniques, accurate and balanced news writing, and the creation of creative anti-hoax content. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ news literacy skills, with an average increase of 41.1%, and teachers’ digital journalism management skills, with an increase of 48.1%. Additionally, the program successfully established a digital news laboratory at the school to sustain media literacy initiatives. <p>Bintang Rinjani Village possesses abundant agricultural potential, yet food downstreaming is hindered by low literacy in food safety and business legality. This community service activity aims to socialize Good Manufacturing Practices for Home Industries and the licensing procedures for Food Production Certificate for Home Industry. The program was conducted in January 2024, involving 24 participants through interactive lectures and discussions using visual media. The effectiveness was measured using pre-test and post-test instruments with a 4-point Likert scale. Analysis results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, with the average score rising by 21.35%, from 58.13% (moderate criteria) to 79.48% (high criteria). <p>Numeracy is a fundamental competency that should be developed through innovative mathematics learning. However, the use of digital technology by teachers to support numeracy learning remains limited. This community service program aimed to enhance the competencies of junior high school mathematics teachers in West Lombok Regency in developing and implementing numeracy learning through Augmented Reality (AR) using Assemblr EDU. The program involved 20 mathematics teachers who are members of the Mathematics Teachers Association (MGMP) of West Lombok Regency through training, media development practice, mentoring, and evaluation. The evaluation results showed that participants were able to independently develop AR-based learning media. A total of 95% of participants stated that the training materials met their needs, improved their skills in utilizing educational technology, and helped visualize abstract mathematical concepts in a more concrete and engaging way. In addition, 90% of participants expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the program. <p>Digital literacy has become an essential competency for teachers in developing innovative and interactive learning media. However, many mathematics teachers still face challenges in utilizing digital technology effectively for instructional purposes. This community service program aimed to enhance the digital literacy of mathematics teachers through training on the use of Articulate Storyline for developing interactive learning media. The program was conducted at SMPN 1 Sekotong and involved 14 junior high school mathematics teachers who are members of the MGMP Mathematics of West Lombok Regency. The implementation stages included needs analysis, material presentation, demonstrations, hands-on practice, mentoring, and evaluation. The training materials covered digital literacy concepts, the features of Articulate Storyline, and techniques for developing mathematics learning media that integrate multimedia elements and interactive quizzes. Evaluation was conducted through pretests and posttests to measure participants’ improvement in understanding. The results indicated that the training successfully enhanced participants’ competencies in utilizing digital technology for mathematics instruction. Based on the evaluation results, participants’ understanding increased by 4.06% from the pretest to the posttest. Furthermore, all participants successfully developed interactive learning media that could be implemented in classroom learning. The high level of participation and engagement demonstrated that the training was relevant to teachers’ professional needs. <p>The low adoption of modern marketing strategies and the lack of cultural-based product differentiation are the main constraints facing the development of garment and souvenir t-shirt MSMEs in Bengkulu City. This community service activity aimed to educate and improve the capacity of t-shirt MSMEs in Bengkulu by implementing creative marketing strategies and storytelling. The target partner was the "Bengkulu T-Shirt Craftsmen Association," involving 25 active micro-business participants in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNIHAZ. The implementation method consisted of three main phases: preparation, execution (intensive training, industry visits to Omah Oblong Yogyakarta, and workshops), and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. Quantitative evaluation showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, with the average comprehension score rising from 42% to 88%. Qualitatively, participants successfully formulated a content marketing blueprint based on Bengkulu's cultural potential, such as the Besurek fabric motif and local historical icons. <p>This community service activity aimed to enhance teachers' competencies in developing and implementing geometry learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) using the Assemblr platform. The implementation method consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage included a needs analysis of participants and the development of training materials. The implementation stage involved the delivery of materials on the concept of Augmented Reality in mathematics education and demonstrations of the use of the Assemblr platform. The evaluation stage was conducted by collecting participants' responses to the training activities. The results indicated that the participants were able to understand the basic concepts of Augmented Reality and utilize simple geometry learning media developed using the Assemblr platform. In addition, participants provided positive responses regarding the training materials, delivery methods, and the usefulness of AR technology in supporting geometry learning. The activity successfully improved teachers' knowledge and skills in utilizing digital technology as a learning medium. <p>Group 43 of the Community Service Program (KKN) from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran”<br>Jawa Timur implemented a community service program in RW 04, Kejawan Putih Tambak, Surabaya. The<br>initiative was designed to address the challenges faced by MSMEs in accessing digital tools and<br>understanding the importance of business legality. The program aimed to enhance their capacity in digital<br>marketing and formal business registration. It was carried out using a participatory approach involving<br>outreach, direct assistance, and hands-on practice. The activities were divided into two main stages: digital<br>marketing education and technical support, which included logo and banner creation, business location<br>registration via Google Maps, and NIB registration through the OSS system. <p>This community service activity represents an experiential learning approach that bridges academic theory with real industrial practice. This community service article presents the results of a service program conducted by students of the Management Study Program, Universitas Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH. Bengkulu, at PT Bakpia Juara Satoe, Yogyakarta, on February 6, 2026. The activity involved 40 management students, with each Field Supervisor Lecturer accompanying 14 students. The program focused on observation and participation in the bakpia production process, examination of the human resource management (HRM) system, implementation of on-the-job training, mentoring systems, and the application of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards in the food industry. The methods employed included participatory observation, structured interviews with company management representatives, and structured reflection. The results indicated that PT Bakpia Juara Satoe has implemented structured HRM practices, including selective recruitment, hands-on training, SOP standardization, and performance-based compensation systems. The consistent use of PPE reflects the internalization of a work culture oriented toward quality and food safety. Of the ten HRM aspects examined, seven aspects were found to align with theoretical standards, two aspects were partially implemented, and one aspect still requires further development. <p>Mathematics is often considered a difficult subject by students. Even now, many students still have not mastered basic mathematical concepts even though they are in grade 9 of junior high school. Therefore, this community service activity aims to strengthen students' basic mathematical concepts through Math Club activities using domino games at SMPN 4 Majene. This activity involved 40 students from grades 7, 8, and 9 who participated in structured meetings. This Math Club activity was held from September to November 2025. In the Math Club activity, the team used the domino game as media to make the activity more enjoyable and meaningful for students. The domino game media was in the form of question-answer cards that were adjusted to the curriculum and the difficulty level of each grade level. The implementation method consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in basic mathematical concepts, as well as questionnaires to measure student interest and satisfaction. <p>This service is based on the low mastery of basic vocabulary among children in Punie Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency. The lack of engaging learning media and suboptimal language stimulation for early childhood are the main factors that hinder children's vocabulary development. Picture flashcard media is considered an effective solution that can stimulate children's interest in learning while enriching their vocabulary through concrete and colorful visual imagery. The purpose of this service is to describe the effectiveness of using picture flashcard media in introducing basic vocabulary to children in Punie Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a community service approach. The research subject of devotion are children aged 5–10 years living in Punie Village. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during vocabulary introduction activities. The results of devotion show that the use picture flashcard media has a significant positive impact on children's ability to recognize and pronounce basic vocabulary. Children showed high enthusiasm, improved memory of new vocabulary, and better language skills after the activities were carried out. Picture flashcard media proved capable of creating a fun, interactive learning atmosphere that is appropriate to children's developmental characteristics.</p>Wina Almunadia Almunadia, Intan Munawarah, Anzora Anzora, Salsa Billa

<p>Culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) often face managerial and digitalization challenges. This community service activity aims to provide managerial insight assistance to the Burger Kessap MSME in Malang City to improve the quality and scale of its business. The method used is a needs-based approach consisting of four stages: needs analysis, priority setting, intervention planning, and implementation and evaluation. The results of the assistance indicate developments in key managerial aspects: (1) Finance, through the transition from manual recording to the use of daily cash books; (2) Marketing, by expanding reach through digital platforms (GoFood, GrabFood, ShopeeFood); and (3) Legality, with the issuance of a Business Identification Number (NIB). The conclusion of this activity is that interventions tailored to the specific needs of partners have proven effective in accelerating the transformation of MSMEs towards more professional and adaptive management in the digital era and can reach a wider consumer scale.
