Editorial Policies
1. Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy
Griya Journal of Mathematics Education and Application is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility, availability, integrity, and preservation of its published scholarly content.
All published articles and journal issues are made permanently accessible through the journal’s online platform using Open Journal Systems (OJS), including the journal’s Archives section. Published articles remain accessible through the Archives after subsequent issues are released, allowing readers to retrieve previously published scholarly content at any time.
The publisher is responsible for maintaining appropriate digital backup and preservation procedures to protect journal content against potential data loss, system failure, security incidents, hardware or software failure, and technological changes.
The journal maintains its published content through institutional digital infrastructure and regular backup procedures. These measures are intended to support the continuity, integrity, and long-term availability of the journal’s scholarly record.
Where additional external digital preservation services are adopted, including LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, PKP Preservation Network, or other recognised archival systems, the journal will publicly disclose such participation only after the relevant preservation arrangements have been formally established and activated.
Griya Journal of Mathematics Education and Application is committed to preserving its published scholarly record and ensuring continued access to published articles and journal issues over time.

4. Conflict of Interest Policy
Griya Journal of Mathematics Education and Application requires authors, editors, and reviewers to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence, or reasonably be perceived as influencing, the integrity, objectivity, or independence of the publication process.
Authors
Authors must disclose any relevant:
- financial relationships;
- institutional relationships;

- personal relationships; or
- other interests
that may influence the interpretation, presentation, or evaluation of their work.
All relevant sources of funding and financial support must also be appropriately acknowledged in the manuscript.
Reviewers
Reviewers must inform the Editor of any potential conflict of interest and should decline a review assignment when such a conflict could compromise their independence, impartiality, or objectivity.
Editors
Editors must not participate in editorial decisions concerning manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
Where such conflicts exist, responsibility for the manuscript should be transferred to another qualified editor.
The Editorial Team is responsible for managing disclosed conflicts of interest in a manner that ensures transparency, fairness, and editorial independence.
5. Post-Publication Discussion Policy

6. Corrections, Expressions of Concern, and Retractions Policy
Griya Journal of Mathematics Education and Application is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record.
The journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when significant errors, inaccuracies, or ethical concerns are identified in published articles.
Corrections
A correction may be issued when an error is identified that does not fundamentally invalidate the principal findings, interpretation, or conclusions of a published article.
The Editorial Team will assess the reported error and determine whether a formal correction is necessary.
Published correction notices will:
- clearly identify the affected article;
- explain the nature of the correction; and
- be linked to the original article whenever technically possible.
Expressions of Concern
An Expression of Concern may be issued when serious questions arise regarding the reliability, validity, ethical status, or integrity of a published article, but the available evidence is insufficient to justify immediate correction or retraction.
An Expression of Concern may remain in place while further investigation is ongoing.
Retractions
An article may be retracted when substantial evidence indicates that its findings, data, conclusions, or publication history are unreliable or seriously compromised.
Grounds for retraction may include:
- plagiarism;
- data fabrication;
- data falsification or manipulation;
- serious methodological or reporting errors that invalidate the findings;
- duplicate or redundant publication;
- unethical research practices;
- inappropriate authorship;
- manipulation of the peer-review process; or
- other serious breaches of publication ethics.
Retraction decisions will be made by the Editorial Team following an appropriate investigation and consideration of relevant publication ethics principles.
Retraction notices will:
- clearly identify the affected article;
- state the reason for retraction;
- indicate who initiated the retraction where appropriate; and
- remain permanently accessible as part of the journal’s publication record.
Retracted articles will ordinarily remain accessible in the journal archive, but their retracted status will be clearly indicated to preserve the transparency and integrity of the scholarly record.
Authors, readers, reviewers, or other parties who identify significant errors or ethical concerns in published articles are encouraged to contact the Editorial Office at:
griyajournal@gmail.com

7. Use of Generative AI Tools
Griya Journal of Mathematics Education and Application recognizes the increasing use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and similar technologies, in academic writing and research. The journal supports the responsible, ethical, and transparent use of such tools under the following conditions:
-
Permitted Use
Authors may use GenAI tools to improve language clarity, grammar, readability, translation, and manuscript formatting. GenAI tools may also be used as part of research or educational activities when their use is relevant to the research objectives and is appropriately described in the manuscript. However, GenAI must not be used to fabricate or falsify data, generate fictitious research results, manipulate findings, create false references, or produce unsupported conclusions. -
Disclosure Requirement
Authors must disclose any substantive use of GenAI tools during manuscript preparation in the Acknowledgement, Methodology, or other appropriate section of the manuscript. The disclosure should specify the name of the tool used and its purpose. When GenAI is used as part of the research methodology, learning intervention, instructional medium, data analysis process, or other research-related activity, its role, procedures, and implementation must be clearly described in the Methodology section to ensure transparency and reproducibility. -
Authorship Responsibility
GenAI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the content of a manuscript or meet the criteria for authorship. Human authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, validity, reliability, and integrity of their manuscripts, including all data, analyses, citations, findings, interpretations, and conclusions. Authors must carefully review, verify, and, where necessary, correct all AI-assisted content before submission. -
Peer Review and Editorial Process
Editors and reviewers must uphold academic integrity, confidentiality, and independent scholarly judgment when using GenAI tools. GenAI may be used for limited language assistance but must not replace the intellectual assessment required in evaluating the originality, relevance, methodology, mathematical accuracy, validity of findings, and contribution of a manuscript. Editors and reviewers must not upload submitted manuscripts, unpublished data, or confidential peer-review materials into publicly accessible GenAI systems when doing so could compromise confidentiality, intellectual property, or data protection. -
Ethical Compliance
Any undisclosed, misleading, or inappropriate use of GenAI that compromises academic integrity, research authenticity, mathematical accuracy, originality, or the reliability of reported findings may result in manuscript rejection, correction, article retraction, or other appropriate editorial actions in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies and the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
